Winter Showcase & End of Year RECITAL Faqs
Q: Are the performances mandatory? A: All classes participate unless otherwise noted in class details. If you are registered for an end of year recital class you are required to still purchase the costume & any other associated fees for performances even if you do not plan for your child to perform. If your dancer cannot make the winter showcase/end of year recital please let our office know as soon as possible so we can plan.
Q: What do students wear to perform? A: Students will not need to purchase a costume for the winter showcase, if they are in a ballet class they will wear their class attire & other classes will coordinate alike matching outfits or wear winter showcase t-shirts. Details can be found in the showcase packet. Students enrolled in the End of Year Recital class will purchase a special recital costume at the beginning of the session & UDOTM staff will do all the measuring and ordering and hand them out closer to the show date!
Q: My child is very shy and I am worried about him/her not going on stage when it is time. A: We work a lot with all of our students on building confidence for the stage throughout the session. Closer to showtime if your child is needing more one on one time with UDOTM staff to make sure they are 100% confident before going on stage please contact the office!
Q: Will there be professional pictures taken? A: There are no pictures for the winter showcase. We will host a seperate picture day for all dancers for our End of Year Recital. Please refer to your child's recital informational packet for more details.
Q: Will there be a video to purchase? A: There are no video to purchase for the winter showcase. We hire a professional videographer for our End of Year Recital to film so you can watch the show without having to worry! End of Year Recital videos are a digital download and included in your end of year show fees!
Q: When do recital tickets go on sale? A: Tickets go on sale normally a month before the show. Please refer to the performance packets for details.
